Rain, Rain go away…

Last summer we were begging for rain here in central Illinois and now we are begging for it to stop.  We got over an inch of rain yesterday.  It is still raining and forecast to last through tomorrow.

The trial is now in the hands of the jury.  The jury has set their hours of deliberation from 9 AM – 4:30 PM (11 AM – 6:30 PM CST) Monday through Friday.  I have 4 months invested in this trial so I have to see it through to the end.  I have mentioned before that I do not believe in the death penalty although if I were to make an exception it would be in this case.  Ms. Arias sat through the whole trial like she was an honored guest at a Royal tea party, smirking occasionally, shaking her head yes or no and flopping her hair around and taking her fake glasses off and on.

http://www.cnn.com/2013/05/04/us/jodi-arias-primer/     If you click on the link you can find out in just a matter of minutes what took me 4 months to learn.

I have been feeling better so I did a bit of housework this morning.  No need to go out in the rain as I would just spend money buying something that I don’t need.

Have a peaceful weekend.  Stay safe and be happy!!

Beth

  2. You really have been getting a lot of rain. We have enough, but nothing compared to what you get. M says she gives you lots of credit for sticking with that trial all the way. It will be interesting to see what the outcome is.

  3. Glad you are feeling better, Beth. We are having lots of rain, too. The days are dreary and cool. We are anxious to learn what the jury decides in this case. Arias has certainly shown no remorse for the brutal murder.

  4. Hi Beth,

Hope you get some nice sunny summer weather soon. We have had a mixture of rain and sun today, but with Callum's help I managed to plant in the patch at the front of house, as well as renew the hanging baskets and planters at back.

    Hugs Nita

  6. Glad to hear you are feeling better. As for the rain there isn't much we can do except make the best of it.

  7. Twin, same thing here. Constant unrelenting rain except maybe 8 days a month when it doesn't rain. We may even get a flicker of sunshine! Did the commom taters say she was wearing fake glasses? Xxoo

  8. Beth, I think that Arias' girl is whacked...she seems to be living in a fantasy world. I hope it stops raining there. My basement fianlly is about totally dry. I have ran a big fan down there to help dry it up. If we could just get a 1/2 to an inch of rain everyweek or so...we would be just right. Wishing you a blessed Sunday. xoxo,Susie

  9. It is good to hear you were feeling up to doing some cleaning.:-) No need to get out in the rain, either. The rain has "set in" here at this point, and it will be with us the rest of the week-end and into Monday. We will watch the Kentucky Derby later! xo Nellie

Hope you get some relief in the rain department.
    Happy weekend to you!

  11. Great news that you are feeling better!! I never clean on a sunny day, only when it rains, as to never miss a day outdoors!!

We could use a little rain at the jersey shore!!

  12. Always the way with rain, either too much or not enough. That's interesting how you can watch 'Trial' of different people, we don't have that down this end of the world, well not yet! :)

  17. Oh, I remember seeing about this murder on one of those shows like Dateline and thinking this girl is living in a fantasy world if she thinks people will believe all these lies and excuses. She changed her story when they had enough proof against her tale that she was never there in the first place...and keeps making up reasons why she's the victim. Thanks for the link, Beth. Yes--I really want to know what happens. I'd be shocked if they let her off!

  18. I have caught bits and pieces of this trial but I really don't know much about the case. In the weather dept. It's been quite nice for about a week. We are actually down a bit on rainfall.
I'm off today as well but I'm not going anywhere. A little peace and quiet before I go back to the nonsense at work.

  19. Guess I have fallen into the "Jodi Who?" category except for your mention of watching the trial. I read a few paragraphs and that's more than I wanted to know. What are you going to do with yourself after the trial is over? I distinctly remember the letdown after watching the OJ trial. Best to have a plan!
