Thunderstorms…

all night long and it is still storming.  We are under a tornado watch until 1PM CDT.  It is 55 degrees this morning, much cooler than yesterday morning.  My family in Missouri is all safe.  Thank God for that.  I was watching the devastation from the tornado on the news last night, just sitting there crying, putting myself there, and praying for the ones who lost so much.

I am hoping that the weather fairs off for Friday.  That is the day that my daughter and I plan to visit Jim’s grave and put flowers there.  It will be a year in July since I have been there and that bothers me a lot.  Distance is the downside of my moving here.  I will take a minute to stop in and say hello to a couple of my friends that work downtown.

There is nothing new to report here today, except of course the weather.  This has been one of the worst years in history for tornadoes .

I hope you all have a wonderful day.  For Paul on vacation at Martha’s Vineyard, have a great time.  Stay safe and be happy!!

Red heart  Beth

  1. Raining here today too. You really have to take advantage of the sun when it shows up as it doesn't seem to stick around too long.

I feel so bad for all those poor people in the way of the horrific storms.

  3. Here I yam! I was hear earlier but you hadn't posted a new one yet. So I took that time to do my treadmill and weights. :-)

We ALL have iffy weather it seems. We had the rain/hail thing going on agaon but thankfully no tornado warnings this time.

You all be careful on your trip, take the camera and know I'll be thinking of you. (and I will!)

  7. Good to read that your family is safe Beth, the news showed such horrific pictures of the devastation. I do hope that Friday serves up good weather for you visit to Jim's grave. I need to visit my mums grave but I need to travel back to my home town, I hesitate to say this, but I can now do so, without my girl needing looking after. (and now the tears have started again, bother, just when I thought I was being so brave!!) I'll sign off now and wish you all the best, my friend. xPenx.

  8. So glad to hear your family is all safe. Hoping for a sunny day to visit Jim's grave. He is always with you even if you can't visit so often. We are getting nothing but rain and our creek is now doing alot of damage. Took out all our new fencing we put in across the creek a couple years ago. Also took our big beaver dam that create my favorite beaver ponds. Goes any higher our new foot bridge on the nature trail will be next. Loosing a lot of good top soil and grass along the edges of the creek. Hasn't been this bad in about 10 years. Could be another 4 or 5 days before the sun comes out again. It's really getting depressing. But this is nothing compared to what so many of suffered. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you in these stormy areas. I am having troubles commenting on many sites with my profile. Hugs Carrie

  10. I'm glad to hear your family is safe. The news is just devastating. I sat at dinner and sobbed as I heard the stories coming out of Joplin. I just can't imagine what those people are suffering.
